Privacy Policy

PsychMentalHealth is an educational resource. We try to collect as little information as possible, and we'll always be straightforward about what we do collect. This page explains it in plain language.

What we collect

When you use our contact form. We collect the information you choose to give us — your name, email address, an optional phone number, and your message. Our form-processing provider may also record the IP address and browser information (user-agent) of the device used to submit the form, to help prevent spam and abuse.

When you simply read the site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics, two privacy-friendly analytics tools. Neither uses cookies, and neither collects any personal information. They only give us anonymous, aggregate counts (like how many people viewed a page). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies of any kind.

How we use your information

• To read and respond to messages you send us.
• To keep the site secure and reduce spam.
• To understand, in aggregate, which resources are most helpful.

PsychMentalHealth is published by an operator with a working relationship with Periscope Behavioral Health, which runs outpatient behavioral health programs in Middlesex and Camden counties, including Emerald Wellness and South Jersey Recovery Program. If you tick the box on our contact form, we pass your message, including your name, contact details, and anything you wrote about your health, to a Periscope program so someone there can contact you about care. If you do not tick it, we do not. Apart from that, the service providers listed below, and disclosures required by law, we do not share your personal information with anyone, and we never share it with advertisers.

Where your information is stored

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare. Contact form submissions are processed by Web3Forms, which delivers them to the site operator's email inbox; access is restricted to the site's operator. Cloudflare and Web3Forms process this data on our behalf. A message passed to a Periscope program at your request, as described above, is handled by that program.

How long we keep it

We keep contact submissions only as long as needed to respond to you and keep our own records. You can ask us to delete your message at any time through the contact form. If we passed your message to a Periscope program, we will ask that program to delete it as well.

Your choices

You can request a copy of the information you've sent us, or ask us to delete it, through the contact form. Because we collect so little, most requests are simple to honor.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

A reminder about what this site is

PsychMentalHealth is not a healthcare provider, and the contact form is not a medical or crisis service. Please don't share sensitive health details you wouldn't want in an email. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
